I plead to improve the existing buildings and make more options viable, make buildings more special. So respect to the developer, who integrated it I don't want the system to be dumbed down or to delete buildings - the opposite is the case. I think it can be achieved in many ways.Įven if there is space to improve the buildings in I:R let me say that I like the building system, because it's one of the reasons you have to do something engaging and fun in peacetime - what other paradox grand strategy games lack in this scope (exception might be Victoria 2, which is already 10 years old).

I think the building system in I:R has a solid foundation, but needs improvements and enhancements without throwing the foundation away. The reason behind this is to cover things you like and should be kept and which things are bad and should be changed in the future (without provding concrete ideas how this should be achieved - rough skteches are desired, but no detailed suggestions). Instead of what ideas are out there, how the building and/or city system should look like in Imperator: Rome, I want rather talk about, what buildings you actually build and combine in your cities and provinces. Here we go again, another city/building thread.
