Yes, not even ConcernedApe’s constant updates were able to keep my countryside life from becoming a chore. That said, after three years of playing it I’ve grown accustomed to the sprites, to the sounds, and the daily grind of building a farm from the ground up.
The lovingly crafted experience, clearly inspired by the best parts of HM and an idealized dream of quitting your nine to five job to tend a farm in the countryside was, and still is, one of the best things to happen to gaming in the past 10 years.
